Privacy
pda.expert is a small project run by one person. There is no analytics tracking, no advertising, and no profiling. This page describes the limited data the site does collect, why, and how long it’s retained.
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, the email address and message you enter are forwarded to my inbox via Resend (a transactional email forwarder) and are not stored on this site. Resend processes the message in transit; the message body lands in my inbox under your Reply-To address, so I can reply to you directly. If you’d like a previously-sent message removed from my inbox, write back and ask — I’ll delete it.
Language demand banner
If your browser’s preferred language isn’t yet supported by pda.expert, you may see a small banner asking whether you’d like the site translated. Clicking “yes” sends a single notification to my inbox (via Resend) recording the requested language. If you optionally enter your email address, it’s included in that notification so I can let you know when the language launches. The email address is not stored in any database on this site — it lands in my inbox only, where I keep it just long enough to send you the launch notice and then delete it. There is no scheduled or automated retention. If you’d like your request removed sooner, write back through the contact form and I’ll delete it.
Anti-bot protection
The contact form and the demand banner use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions are made by humans, not bots. Turnstile may run a brief, transparent challenge in your browser. Cloudflare’s privacy policy governs that interaction; pda.expert receives only a yes/no verification result, never your interaction details.
Cookies
pda.expert sets one cookie: a language preference (pda_lang) that remembers which supported language you’ve chosen, so the homepage doesn’t ask again on every visit. The cookie has a one-year lifetime, holds no identifying information, and can be cleared at any time through your browser.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status) for operational reasons. These are kept by Vercel under their own retention policy and are not used by pda.expert for any analytics or profiling.
Third parties
- Vercel — site hosting, request logs
- Resend — transactional email forwarding (contact form and demand banner notifications)
- Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-bot verification on the contact form and demand banner
- Google Fonts — webfont delivery (Lexend and Literata); Google’s CDN may log font requests separately
No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party social-media pixels.
Data requests
To request deletion of a contact-form submission or a language-demand record, or to ask what data is held on you, write to me through the contact form. I’ll respond and act within a reasonable time — usually within a few days.
